The Lab Collective

The SandPit helps theatre makers to take that first step towards creation, with the time to discuss and play with new early stage ideas in a supportive and collaborative space. 

Whether you need space to practically explore, or time to get your thoughts on paper the SandPit is a warm, open environment which harnesses the power of collaborative thinking.

The sessions are facilitated by The Lab Collective's Artistic Directors Nat and Joe, who will help open out your ideas, in a safe and open way with the sensitivity needed in the early stage of the process. Centered around the needs of the artists who participate, the start of the the session will be an open forum, and we will structure the day together - focusing on the key components of thinking, making and sharing.

The session runs between 10am - 6pm, and artists may finish their session when they are ready, or stay for the whole day. You're also welcome to come for the whole weekend, or book for just a day - whatever suits your needs!

This workshop is for Performance makers and directors who are at the very early stages of developing new work and want to meet like minded artists to bounce ideas off of and share their works in progress and; these sessions are suitable for companies, makers or writers who need some space to think and get active, and is particularly good for solo artists!
