Masterclass: Interactive and immersive performance

WORKSHOP.jpg

Join us for The Lab Collective's Masterclass! We'll be exploring ways of creating narrative driven dialogue with an audience, developing characters for interactive performance and offering tools to structure and record your work.  Over the course of a day we will unpack:

  • Ways of offering meaningful interactions, intimacy and choice for audiences

  • Tools to design interactive space which offers audience choice and agency

  • Creating character for interactive and immersive performance to develop an understanding of their function within an immersive world.

  • How to use create scripts for interactive performance

These key skills enrich interactions and bring a strong live element to performances helping you to create meaningful and satisfying content whether you're making a large scale immersive show, or an intimate one on one performance. You'll be led by practitioners with over 20 years combined experience in creating interactive and immersive performance. In addition to their performances with The Lab Collective, Natalie and Antigoni have created solo work for CPT, worked with Punchdrunk, Boomtown Fair and Emergency Exit Arts and trained students at Rose Bruford College, Central School of Speech and Drama, UEL and the University of Birmingham.
